The new trick

Scams used to ask for your password.
Now they ask for your keyboard.

A page shows a fake check, quietly copies a command, then walks you through pasting it into your computer. One press of Enter is all it takes.

How it works

Fompi steps in before you press Enter.

High riskHey, something looks off. This page is asking you to run a command. That is a common trick.See why ›

  1. 1

    Notices

Fompi reads the page on your device and watches for a copied command, a fake check and instructions to open Run or Terminal.

  2. 2

    Explains

A small note appears next to Fompi. It names each sign it found, in plain words.

  3. 3

    You decide

Leave the page, clear the copied command, or carry on. Fompi never blocks you without telling you why.

Clear, not scary

Every warning shows its work.

No mystery scores. Fompi tells you what it saw, how sure it is, and what you can do next.

What it does

Made for the moments that matter.

In beta

Fake verification pages

Spots pages that copy a hidden command and tell you to paste it into the Run dialog or Terminal. Works on Windows and Mac style tricks.

In beta

Lookalike sign in pages

Notices when a page asks for your password on an address that imitates a well known brand, like paypa1.com.

In beta

Check something

Paste a link or a message you are unsure about. Fompi looks for warning signs without opening the link.

In beta

Your own history

Every warning is kept in your browser, for 7, 30 or 90 days. Review it, export it, or delete it in one click.

In beta

Asks before it looks

Fompi only reads pages after you say yes, and explains why first. Without it, the link and message checks still work.

In development

File checks on your Mac

A Mac companion that keeps a private history and inspects files you choose, without uploading them.

Quiet until it counts. Fompi rests in the corner of the page and only speaks up when something looks wrong.

Privacy

Nothing leaves
your device.

No account, no analytics, no cloud. Fompi keeps a short record so you can look back, and nothing more.

What Fompi keeps

  • The site, as an address like example.com
  • Which warning signs it found
  • What you chose to do

What it never keeps

  • The text of the pages you visit
  • What was copied to your clipboard
  • Full web addresses, passwords or form entries

Questions.

Is Fompi antivirus?

No. Fompi does not scan your files or watch programs on your computer. It looks for specific tricks in your browser, the moment before you might act on them. It works well alongside the protection your computer already has.

Why does Fompi ask to read the pages I visit?

To notice a trick, Fompi has to see the page. Chrome describes this permission broadly, so Fompi explains what it does with it first and only asks when you turn page protection on. Pages are read on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

What happens if Fompi is wrong?

Fompi will sometimes be unsure, and says so. Every warning lets you carry on, and you can mark a site as fine so it stays quiet there. When nothing is found, Fompi says “no known risk found” rather than “safe”.

Does it slow down my browser?

Fompi runs light checks and only looks closely when a page shows signs worth a second look. It makes no network requests while you browse.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign up and nothing to log into. Fompi works the moment you install it.

What will Fompi cost?

The protections on this page are free. We may offer an optional paid plan later for extra features. Important warnings will never sit behind a paywall.

Who makes Fompi?

Fompi is made by SolonGate, a security company based in the United States that also builds protection for businesses using AI.
