Last updated 29 October 2026. Fompi is in beta.
The short version
Fompi works on your device. It has no account, no analytics and no cloud service. Nothing it sees is sent to SolonGate.
The browser extension
If you turn on page protection, Fompi reads the pages you visit in that browser to look for known tricks, and notices when a page tries to put text on your clipboard. This happens inside your browser and is forgotten when you leave the page.
When Fompi warns you, or when you check a link or message yourself, it keeps a short record in your browser profile:
- the type of check and the result
- which warning signs were found
- the website address without the page path, for example https://example.com
- what you chose to do, such as leaving the page
It never keeps page text, what was copied, full addresses, form contents or passwords. Records are deleted after 30 days by default. You can change that, export them or delete them at any time from the Fompi button in your toolbar.
The extension makes no network requests of its own. Chrome may check for extension updates through the Chrome Web Store.
Fompi Desktop
If you connect Fompi Desktop, the same records are also saved in a file on your Mac that only your user account can read. Fompi Desktop is not publicly available yet.
This website
fompi.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third party scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and the page requested, to run and protect the service.
Changes
If Fompi ever adds a feature that sends data, such as accounts or optional link reputation checks, it will be off until you turn it on, and this page will say exactly what is sent before it ships.
